“I love getting to know people while in transit”

We recently chatted with Spencer Howard, a man of many hats in the reward travel world. Spencer left his career in politics at the end of 2016 to begin chasing his passion of writing about points and miles full-time.

He’s always been a travel nut and has fascinated with flying since he was a kid. This fascination led him to launch a new site, Straight to the Points, as well as lend his expert knowledge to a few other blogs and social channels. We hope you enjoy our latest Expert Interview with Spencer!

“I love trips like these because I get to see the way my kids interact with each other and different environments.”

We had a chance to catch up with Dia Adams, aka “The Deal Mommy” for the next round of our Expert Interview series. Dia is a wife and mom to 2 kids, age 13 and 10. She grew up foreign service and her husband was in consulting, so she has lived all over the world from Australia to Beijing to Thailand to Ireland – where her son was born. After coming back home and starting her family, she felt like her travel life was coming to a halt. She wanted to find a way to get her family back into the travel groove. After a trip to Panama (see below), she started researching how to travel for free and has been doing it ever since. Hopefully our chat with Dia will help you and your family catch the travel bug!

“Travel is a way for us to show the world to our kids”

We’re back with the latest installment of our Expert Interview series. This month, we had a chance to talk to Dan Miller with Points with a Crew. Dan started Points with a Crew in the summer of 2014 after planning a cross-country trip to a family reunion for his family of 8 (3 boys, 3 girls from 4-16 years old). Having a large family qualifies Dan as an expert in family travel, especially family travel with points and miles in place of cash. When Dan isn’t helping families travel through his blog, he is a Computer Programmer based in Cincinnati, OH. We hope you enjoy our interview with Dan and learn something along the way!
